In the early 1960's, Herb Chaffey was developing his career in financing for local builders. He realized that the best way to build a home was to implement best building and business practices backed by a committed, customer care policy. In 1963, Herb ventured out to make his dream a reality. Without today's building codes and approval processes, many homes were not of the high quality that we have today. Herb Chaffey was ahead of his time by building homes that were of the highest standards simply because he valued his customers and their future homes. Thus he created something better than his competitors. He embedded his beliefs of quality and care as the hallmark of his brand and his name. Throughout the years, Herb solidified his commitment to quality building by establishing the Chaffey Homes Total Commitment Home Warranty, still unmatched in the industry today.
Today, this generation is upholding the tradition while continually redefining the standards of excellence in the building industry. Herb's sons, Rick Chaffey and Bob Chaffey, now run the business and have expertly added a sense of style and architectural excellence to their commitment to quality. These ideals have Chaffey Homes poised as one of the top homebuilders in the Puget Sound.
